Always take things in your pride

A lot of times, things never turn out the way we want it to be...

Yesterday, i was near bugis market. It was in the evening.After work. Normally a lot of people will just walked with quickened pace.Some people rushed for their evening classes,next appointments, heading home or to pick up their kids before the childcare teacher gave them the 'forever-late' stare.

However, I noticed that there was an unusually large crowd at the nearby HDB blocks.There were also some police cars. That peculiar scene aroused my curiousity. There was no street performer or any famous star around. The last time when i saw such crowd size was back in Los Angeles 3 months ago, when the crowd gathered for the super singer Mariah Carey.

Curious, I just asked a lady who has a son next to her.
"Excuse me. Is there something going on here?" I spoke in Mandarin.
"Oh. I don't know but i was told someone is committing suicide!" said the middle-aged lady.
"Huh?"I gazed at her and her son with eyes wide-opened. I had been working in this vicinity for about 3 years but never come across such incident.

Then, the son sighed and shook his head. "Is there any problem that these people can't solve?" . He asked in calm and composed manner.
After that, he went on ..."Always take things in your pride!"
I was speechless when those words come out from the little boy. He looked like a normal school-going boy. Chubby and has a cheeky face.

"How old are you, boy?" I asked.
"10-yrs old" he looked at me and replied.
I least expected him to be so matured.He appeared like a primary 3 boy who loves only Play Station game or game boy and couldn't care much about the world going on around him!

Sometimes, you may feel that things never turn out your way.
You are not alone and there is no need for self-blame.
Accept the outcome and try looking at it from different/another perspective.
Or take a proactive approach to solve your problem,whatever it maybe.
